Mechanical Engineer · Robotics & Automation
Mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in industrial automation, SCADA systems, robotic assembly, and special-purpose machine design. Based in Pune, India.
Capabilities
Work
Designed and developed a fully automated powder coating system to replace a manual, operator-dependent process. Built for Small and Medium Enterprises, the system delivers precise, uniform, and repeatable coating application with a PLC-controlled Y-axis reciprocator carrying a 25 kg payload.
Engineered an SPM to automate the drilling of three oil holes on crank pins used in engine manufacturing. The conventional process required three separate operators working sequentially. The redesigned machine performs all three operations in a single setup with precision alignment and consistent repeatability.
Developed a centralized monitoring system at Tata Motors for KUKA industrial robots. Built SCADA screens in WinCC for real-time visualization of water flow, temperature, and robot load parameters with condition-based color indication. Automated daily reporting via VBS scripting to eliminate manual data entry entirely.
Experience
Worked at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. on developing a Digital Equipment Health Monitoring System for industrial robots. Studied KUKA WorkVisual for robot configuration, I/O mapping, and KRL programming. Developed SCADA screens in WinCC with real-time condition monitoring and implemented automated data logging via VBS scripting. Performed axis-wise load analysis using KUKA Load GUI and integrated the results into SCADA for dynamic visualization.
Global Exposure
Selected for MIT World Peace University's China Immersion Program for Mechanical and Electronics Engineering. Travelled across Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen gaining firsthand exposure to world-class manufacturing environments, smart factory ecosystems, and advanced technology hubs alongside an academic visit to Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Attended NEPCON Microelectronics Expo 2026, one of Asia's most significant exhibitions for electronics manufacturing automation. Gained direct exposure to surface mount technology, PCB assembly automation, machine vision inspection, soldering automation, IoT integration, and smart factory systems across consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and communications sectors.
Visited Audi and Volkswagen production facilities in Shanghai, observing large-scale robotic assembly lines, precision automotive manufacturing workflows, and OEM-grade quality control systems. Gained direct exposure to how Industry 4.0 principles operate at global automotive scale, including robotic welding, body-in-white assembly, and integrated inspection systems.
