01 — CAPSTONE PROJECT
Automated Powder Coating System via Reciprocator & PLC

Designed and developed a fully automated powder coating system to replace a manual, operator-dependent process. Built for Small and Medium Enterprises, the system delivers precise, uniform, and repeatable coating application with a PLC-controlled Y-axis reciprocator carrying a 25 kg payload.

Key Outcomes Centralized control via Coolmay CX3G-70C-48MT PLC/HMI with 500 PPR Delta encoder feedback for precise position tracking. VFD-driven soft start/stop for smooth reciprocation. Inductive proximity sensors enable automated part detection and a Powder Save logic that reduces material waste significantly.

02 — DESIGN PROJECT
Special Purpose Machine (SPM) for Crank Pin Drilling

Engineered an SPM to automate the drilling of three oil holes on crank pins used in engine manufacturing. The conventional process required three separate operators working sequentially. The redesigned machine performs all three operations in a single setup with precision alignment and consistent repeatability.

Key Outcomes Reduced operator requirement from 3 to 1. Decreased production cycle time through single-setup drilling of two angular horizontal holes and one vertical hole. Improved machining accuracy and process reliability while significantly reducing manual handling and human error.

03 — INTERNSHIP PROJECT
Digital Equipment Health Monitoring System for Industrial Robots

Developed a centralized monitoring system at Tata Motors for KUKA industrial robots. Built SCADA screens in WinCC for real-time visualization of water flow, temperature, and robot load parameters with condition-based color indication. Automated daily reporting via VBS scripting to eliminate manual data entry entirely.

Key Outcomes Real-time robot health dashboard integrating PLC signals with SCADA visualization. Automated Excel report generation replacing manual logging. Axis-wise robot load analysis using KUKA Load GUI integrated into SCADA for dynamic, live visualization.

Experience

Where I've Worked

2025
Tata Motors, Pune
Automation & Robotics Engineering Intern

Worked at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. on developing a Digital Equipment Health Monitoring System for industrial robots. Studied KUKA WorkVisual for robot configuration, I/O mapping, and KRL programming. Developed SCADA screens in WinCC with real-time condition monitoring and implemented automated data logging via VBS scripting. Performed axis-wise load analysis using KUKA Load GUI and integrated the results into SCADA for dynamic visualization.
